Passage: Ephesians 4:11-13
Last Sunday, we began to look at one of the great passages in all of scripture concerning the way the church of Jesus Christ should operate. We will take the next two Sundays to dig a little deeper into this text and see how it should apply specifically to our church. This morning, we will consider the roles and expectations of the leaders and members of the body. Should the ministry of the church be carried out only by the “professionals” such as pastors? Is it reasonable to expect every member of the church to be actively engaged in some form of service or ministry? Wisdom demands that we not answer such questions based upon personal opinion, but rather look to God’s Word.
