Passage: Ephesians 4:11-12
For several weeks, we have been looking at portions of this passage from Ephesians 4 regarding the equipping of the members of the local church for ministry. One objection typically raised by folks when they are asked to serve is that they do not feel equipped or qualified to do so. While the church leadership does have a responsibility to match needs with abilities, most Christians shortchange themselves, not understanding that they have indeed been gifted by God with gifts for ministry. This morning, we will explore this gifting; the nature and purpose of spiritual gifts, how we can identify them, and how they are to be exercised in the local body.
