Passage: 1 Peter 3:1-7
This morning, we finish up our three-week look at what the Bible says about marriage. We have seen how God’s plan from the beginning was that marriage would be a picture of Christ’s covenant love for His church and how the principles of headship and submission should enhance that picture. This week we finish by considering Peter’s specific instructions to husbands and wives designed to bring honor to Christ through our most intimate relationships, just as Christians bring Him honor in their relationship to the state and to their employers. The bottom line is that Christians are expected to live differently and to relate differently than the rest of the unbelieving world.
