Passage: Ephesians 5:18
As we move back into our sermon series in Ephesians, we are going to take one week to look more closely at one verse, and more specifically, that verse’s reference to the Holy Spirit. Today in the church, we can see one of three tendencies when it comes to the Holy Spirit: 1) we ignore him; 2) we obsess and distort him; or 3) we find little relevance to him in our daily lives. With the help of Daniel Henderson’s recent book, Transforming Presence: How the Holy Spirit Changes Everything from the Inside Out, today’s message will help us to avoid the distortions, misunderstandings, and confusion concerning the work and person of the Spirit.
