Passage: Psalm 1
Today, we will be looking at Psalm 1, which along with Psalm 2, serve as an introduction to the entire Psalter. Through the first psalm, the psalmist reflects on the results of meditating and delighting in God’s Word, namely, being able to stand strong against the influence of the world and being found righteous by God. In this psalm, we will discover many of the core teachings of our faith and ultimately, we will see by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, through the hand of the psalmist, that this psalm, and the entire Word of God point us to the work and person of Jesus Christ.
