Passage: 1 Timothy 2:5-7
This morning, we finish our brief Advent sermon series on the greatest Christmas gift, that of the Lord Jesus Christ. We have looked at various aspects of the saving ministry of Christ which necessitated the incarnation. We have seen Him as the Redeemer who frees us, the Substitute who obtains our forgiveness, and the Conqueror who who gives us victory. Today, we consider the work of Jesus as our Mediator who reconciles sinful, fallen humanity to a holy and righteous God. When we understand the bad news of our condition before Christ, we begin to grasp the reason the gospel is such good news.
