Passage: Ezekiel 34:1-31
We finish our Advent sermon series entitled Christmas in the Old Testament, this morning by looking in the book of the prophet Ezekiel. In our passage, God pronounces His judgment on the corrupt leaders of Israel and announces that He will Himself shepherd His people. The amazing thing about this announcement is that there will be another that He will appoint as Shepherd over Israel, one who will be from the house of David and who will bring the people a new covenant of peace. This of course is none other than the Lord Jesus Christ.
